Green Day will be producing a new documentary that focuses on the early east bay punk scene that they came out of. The documentary, "East Bay", will be directed by Corbett Redford, himself a musician and filmmaker from the bay area, also working on the Green Day early days documentary reported last year.
An official site has been launched at EastBayPunk.com, which states the film is,
The documentary will include "150 interviews, footage from hundreds of live shows, and thousands of archival photos and flyers," to tell the story.
They are still looking for archive footage, photos, and posters from that era (1980-1994). For a full list of bands they're looking for more info on visit the official site.
