Green Day in
Eureka, CA
Show Details
Location:
Power Station in Eureka, USA
Date:
April 29, 1992
Notes:
Peter Edward Lewis: "I remember that! I was doing a bit of spoken word before the My Name is Chris set. It was totally a compliment!"
John Holmes: "I also remember when My Name Is Chris opened for Green Day. I saw a lot of really good bands back then. Some of the best punk bands I have ever seen! And I don't even remember most of their names."
Mike L. Taylor: "Pete, didn't you guys open for Green Day at The Power Station one time? You said on the mic that their 45's sounded good when you played them at the wrong speed. I think you meant it at as a compliment. And I agreed cause I used to play them that way too..."
Darren Anthony Hoff: "Wednesday April 29th, 1992 I saw Green Day at the Power Station for $4 in my hometown of Eureka, CA. Coincidentally that was the day the LA Riots started and Sublime (who I also saw at the Power Station a few times) wrote a song called April 29th 1992 where they shout out 'Eureka, California'."
