Green Day in Oakland, CA

Show Details

Location: 1640 7th Street in Oakland, USA
Date: January 1, 1990
Notes:
  • Exact date unknown
  • Damon O'Manic: "...falling asleep on the couch while Green Day played to a warehouse full of punks who insisted on making them the butt of all their jokes as Spider Böhner jammed 40's thru the drywall into the neighbor's place, and even John the Mechanic's crazy, wanna-be cult leader, acid damaged bullshit, I'd be happy. Good times."
  • Jack Curran: "This is the warehouse that Welcome To Paradise is about. Billie Joe had his own room, Mike had his own room, Jack Curran had his own room, and Jeff Ott slept with the girls! Downstairs there was a main stage where they would practice. They would play free shows in the warehouse and let in people from the street, earning a lot of respect from them. This is how they lived there without having their stuff stolen."
