Reba Brindley: "Um, they performed at Kingman in '90 or '91. My roommate was dating the drummer."
ChesterKV: "I'll always have fond memories of Tre Cool of Green Day fame eating bowl after bowl of (free to him) Cheerios cereal at my college co-op house at UC Berkeley circa 1992. He was dating a girl that lived there named Amanda. Our house manager hired them to play at one of our occasional house parties. I think they were paid $150 for around a forty-five minute 'show.' That was in the living room and I think people were bummed because they couldn't watch The Simpsons that were on at the same time. The audience consisted of myself and a guy named John (I think that was him name). Everyone else kept poking their heads in and walking away. They were tight musically and I thought to myself, 'These guys are serious at least.' After the 'show' I thought about lending them a hand to load some stuff in an old van they were using. I decided to get more beer instead. I've always considered the Green Day show at Kingman Hall circa 1992 to be their true launching point."
