Dave Rensberger: "...but according to others who had seen the whole show, Green Day did a completely serious rendition of Eye Of The Tiger."
Jeff Thomas Fortin: "He [Milo Aukerman] showed up when All ... played with Green Day, Bad Religion, and Seaweed in Chicago. The Chicago show was excellent. They blew Green Day and Seaweed away."
Mike Byrne: "I met Al [Sobrante] when I booked his band the Ne'er Do Wells and The Shatners (Star Trek cover band). He was a super nice guy and hilarious. The night I booked the Ne'er Do Wells and the Shatners at No Palace Studios on Division and Wood Street, now a trendy hot spot, but in 1993 still a hot bed of crime and gangbangers, Green Day was playing the Riv with Bad Religion and ALL. Al found out about the show and he wanted me to drive him over, so he could picket the show, since Green Day recently signed to a major label. I couldn't tell if he was serious or joking, but I got the feeling he wanted to do it as more of a joke. Plus, how odd would it be to see Green Day's former drummer outside a Chicago show with a sign making fun of the band, although I don't think the kids would know who he was."
